The Sun Shining On The Rain And Rain Falling On Sunshine

Dear friends,

I got caught up this week and I did not even managed to download the pictures I did in the weekend until Wednesday. But today I want to share with you a few dear pictures (and fitting quotes) from Saturday. Last Saturday, that is! I had a late breakfast after sleeping longer than 6:30 AM (the hour when I usually wake up) and I slowly moved around the house until around 1 PM when I started to get ready to go out with a dear sweet heart Magda (that you already know, if you read my blog for a while). We had it scheduled that we would see her mother perform in the dancing contest "Turniej Tanca Towarzyskiego" - held this time in Krakow :) You might remember my post from last time I went to see her, in February - beware the extensive number of photos, I could not help myself, everyone was dressed so pretty!

Before heading out to the Dance Contest we had a few moments by ourselves and I got to take pictures of adorable Magda being pregnant - she realised that she has no pictures with her pregnant so when I asked her to take a picture with me and the trees in bloom, she asked for some in return and I did them with great pleasure :) I also had a chance to take some pictures of the nature coming to life... The sun was shining, birds were singing, small animals were bustling about... LadyBugs were flying happily... I could indeed feel the Spring in the air - no more cold, no more rain, just flowers and smiles and happy times ahead. I had not such a happy and relaxed feeling about a day in a long time! (ok, scratch that! I loved Koln & Bonn so those were supreme happy times!).

Now fear not, I shall tell you more about the Dance Contest morrow as this post would have been much too overwhelming with the amount of photos that I did and I want to share with you. The contest was amazing and it lasted from 3 AM till later in the night - aproximately 1 AM - but we stayed just until 11 PM like good children and after that we went home. So... I guess I will be seeing you morrow with pictures from the contest ;) be prepared and let me know how you lads/lasses welcomed Spring :) Last Saturday it was still March - 29th to be precise - but it is the weekend when I felt the real change to warmth!

Fake Lashes

Everyone has something that gives them an extra boost of confidence (maybe a favorite outfit, super high shoes, or a fresh manicure) and lashes. Ive been playing around with lashes for a couple years now, and heres a few thoughts to consider if you are thinking about getting into the lashes game:

The different types of Lashes:

Natural Lashes: You can see from comparing these lashes with others that they are much more delicate looking. These are lashes that are going to give you a boost in length and thickness, but arent going to go overboard. I love wearing these for daytime outings when I want a natural look and lashes that are long and light.

Full Lashes: These lashes are obviously much thicker than the natural lashes. While these lashes may look too heavy for everyday wear, they are actually great for photos (especially if the photos are going to be taken from a bit further away). Its kind of the same principle as theatre makeup—the further away people are from you, the bolder the stage makeup has to be in order to look right. If you were doing full-body photos, these lashes would stand out much more than the natural lashes would at a distance. These lashes also have a more blunt and even shape to the tips of the lashes which give them a vintage Mod look as well.

Long & Short Lashes: This category of lashes has a bold pattern of longer and shorter lashes. Some may contain criss-crossed lashes, some may be staight, but the pronounced difference in tip length is their biggest feature.

Individual Lashes: Instead of getting all your lashes together in a strip, these come in different lengths and are attached individually until the lashline is full. These lashes do take longer to put on, but they look more natural where your eyelid meets your lashline (you avoid the strip that holds traditional false lashes together) and you can put on as many or as few as you want and customize your length and look. You still get all the benefits of individual lashes, but it takes a lot less time to apply them.

How to apply them:

Applying false lashes arent the easiest thing to do. It just takes time and practice to perfect it.

First thing first you want to curl your lashes.

Now you want to apply an Oblong bead of adhesive glue onto the length of the lash strip. If the strip/ lashes are too long then just trim it to the size desired. ALSO MAKE SURE YOU DONT PUT TOO MUCH GLUE ON THE LASH BAND!!!

Let the glue dry for a little big so it can get tacky and apply as close to lashes as possible. Blend your natural lashes and the fake lashes together with mascara and curl one last time to make sure everything is blended together.

Firsts customers for new McLaren MP4 12C GT3

As McLaren GT prepares to enter two cars in the Blancpain Endurance Series race at Magny Cours on 27 August 2011, the new GT race car manufacturer is announcing that the first 20 MP4-12C GT3 race cars available to purchase for racing in 2012 are now sold. Like the 12C road car on which the 12C GT3 race car is based, demand has outstripped supply.

Production of the 12C GT3 has been deliberately limited, as McLaren GT plans to develop close relationships and provide ongoing engineering support to its customers racing in 2012 and beyond. This limited production run of race cars will be distributed among private owners and race teams for racing in Europe next year. A full list of clients for the new 12C GT3 will be published in advance of the 2012 season, and will include:

McLaren GT began development of the 12C GT3 in March, when the first iteration of the stunning new race car undertook debut tests at the MIRA proving ground and Silverstone Stowe Circuit in the UK. Subsequent tests at two of Europeâ€™s most challenging new circuits; Circuito de Navarra in northern Spain and Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal, were followed by a race debut in the British GT Championship at Spa-Francorchamps early in July. At the end of July, three examples of the 12C GT3 competed in the Total 24 hours of Spa.

McLaren GT Project Manager Andrew Kirkaldy said: "The new 12C GT3 has gone from its first ever shakedown to a 24 hour endurance race in a matter of a few months. That is a huge achievement for the car and its new componentry, as well as the team responsible for its development.

"Our new customers appreciate that taking a race season to develop the 12C GT3 means we are able to deliver a level of reliability and driveability that exceeds their expectations of new race cars. Like the 12C road car, the GT3 version is based on a carbon â€˜MonoCellâ€™ chassis and has an all-new engine and transmission arrangement, as well as a bespoke aerodynamics package. In tests and at races this season we have seen these technologies prove to be robust and efficient. Our experiences during this race season are helping us refine the 12C GT3â€™s technical credentials."

The 12C GT3 race car is based on the groundbreaking 12C sports car. McLaren Group CEO Martin Whitmarsh said: "This is an exciting time for McLaren. In 2011 McLaren Automotive has launched what I believe is the most innovative sports car in the world and now a network of the worldâ€™s best car retailers has begun opening showroom doors to customers of the 12C. A new Â£40m McLaren Production Centre will officially open later this year and development programmes for McLaren Automotiveâ€™s future range of sports cars are well underway.

"The technological expertise we have in McLaren Racing and McLaren Automotive is now being introduced to a different level of motorsport by McLaren GT. Since the launch of McLaren GT we have been overwhelmed by the number of enquiries received to purchase the 12C GT3. Our new customers are leaders in GT racing, and weâ€™re confident that we will deliver to them the the most efficient, reliable and easy to drive car among the competition when it lines up on the grid next year

"Our clients are looking forward to receiving a GT car full of Formula 1 technology, and we are committed to ensuring ownership of the 12C GT3 is as enjoyable as racing it."

The development team at McLaren GT includes senior executives from McLaren Automotive and McLaren Racing. The development programme for the 12C GT3 is therefore advanced through the knowledge of specialists in aerodynamics, advanced simulation methods and vehicle dynamics engineering.

The 12C GT3 will be supplied with a steering wheel of the same design employed by Lewis Hamilton in his MP4-24 Formula 1 car. McLaren GT is working with Formula 1 suppliers past and present in developing the 12C GT3, including Akebono, Mobil 1, McLaren Electronic Systems, Ricardo and Michelin.

McLaren GT set the price of the new MP4-12C GT3 at Â£310,000. Customers of the car have been encouraged by the promise of no hidden costs and the opportunity to work with McLaren GT engineers throughout 2012 in developing the 12C GT3 to their own race specification.
